Sutter County Sheriff’s Department Warns Residents of Home Invasion Robberies

The Sutter County Sheriff’s Department would like to remind citizens to keep their doors locked and be cautious when answering their doors at anytime of the day. They should always ask the person to identify themselves before deciding to open the door, and never without turning on the lights to aid in confirming who is knocking on the door at night. If there is any concern, residents are urged to call their local law enforcement agency to investigate.
Sutter County Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating two separate home invasion robberies that occurred in the Sutter area this week. On Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at 2:14 p.m. deputies responded to a home invasion on the 6000 block of Butte House Road and on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 11:22 a.m. deputies responded to a second home invasion on the 8000 block of South Butte Road in Sutter.
Suspect #1 is described as a white male adult, heavy set, 25-30 years old, clean shaven, approximately 6 foot tall, weighing 225-250 pounds.
Suspect #2 is described as a white male adult, medium build, approximately 5-7, weighing 150-160 pounds.
Suspect vehicle is possibly a white small to mid-sized pickup.
During both robberies suspects displayed weapons and should be considered armed and dangerous.
