Four Arrested in Attempted Drive-By Shooting

Sutter County Sheriff’s Department arrested three people in connection with an attempted drive-by shooting Thursday afternoon in Live Oak. A fourth person was arrested Friday afternoon.
On Thursday, December 17, 2009, at approximately 3:18 P.M. dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a possible drive-by shooting in the area of Highway 99/Archer Avenue in Live Oak. No one was injured in the shooting; however, one round hit a wall at Wada King Interiors on Live Oak Boulevard.
According to witnesses shots were fired at the intersections between occupants of a green Toyota Camry and a white Dodge Intrepid. Deputies were able to locate and stop the green Toyota Camry connected to the shooting incident and arrested three male occupants. Deputies found and confiscated a 12 gauge shotgun and a .25 caliber pistol.
An off duty Sutter County Detective located the second vehicle in the 1000 block of Vermont Street in Gridley late last night.
Arrested and booked into Sutter County Jail were:
• Kong Meng Thao, 19 years old, of the 2600 block of Nevada Street, Live Oak
• Juan Antonio Cazares, 19 years old, of the 10000 block of Live Oak Blvd., Live Oak
• Eliseo Estrada, 19 years old, of the 10000 block of Live Oak Boulevard, Live Oak,
• Monica Victoria Caudillo, 18 years old, 2300 block of Walnut Street, Live Oak
All subjects are being held without bail in Sutter County Jail on charges of suspicion of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, participation in a criminal street gang, carrying a loaded firearm, shooting at an occupied vehicle, and, assault with a deadly weapon.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
