On October 23, 2013, approximately 3:00 am, a Sutter County jail kitchen trusty ran away while being escorted along with four other kitchen crew trusties to the kitchen of the main jail from the minimum security facility.
The inmate is identified as Daniel Steel Duncan, white male, age 24, 5-8, 165, brown hair, green eyes. He was last seen wearing inmate clothing which consisted of a green shirt, and green and white striped pants. He is a Yuba City resident. Duncan was in custody for violation of probation for a non-violent offense and was scheduled for release on April 14, 2014.
Patrol and Detectives are actively searching for Duncan at this time and an attempt to locate has been broadcast to agencies throughout the area.
A complaint charging Duncan with escape will be forwarded to the Sutter County District Attorney for a warrant of arrest. Duncan’s minimum security privileges have been suspended and he will be placed in the Maximum Security Unit upon his return to custody.
