The Evidence/Property Room acts as the depository for all evidence and property
recovered by Deputies in the jurisdiction of the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office.
The Evidence Technician maintains and ensures the accurate return of property in
the designated categories.
- Found property
- Recovered stolen property
- Items held for safekeeping
- Inmate/arrestee personal property
- Property received from coroner cases not released at the scene
- Property received from public administrator cases
- Prepare unclaimed property for auction
The best way to avoid any unnecessary delays in obtaining your property is to
call Evidence Technician Wilson and request an appointment. Please call at
least one day in advance to schedule your appointment so you can receive your
service promptly. Evidence Technician Wilson can be reached at 530-822-7313,

Requirements for Conducting Business
Persons attempting the release of property in the custody of the Sheriff’s
Office must present picture identification such as a California Drivers
License or California Identification Card.
Those attempting to gain the release of property for a friend or relative must
